About Us
Our Mission:
We with the Katalyze Cooperative are individuals and organizations who share a common passion for rising up against oppression of all kinds and creating new ways of building paths of resilience, healing, sovereignty and restorative justice. We stand alongside survivors - of violence, abuse, poverty, addiction, mental health issues and oppression that comes in many forms. We work with people who stand in solidarity and advocate for justice as well as forging new pathways to pursue alternative ways of living, being and relating with our environment and with one another.

Our Story
The Katalyze Cooperative is an organization, business incubator and connector rooted in Uganda and California that is building bridges with diverse partners on local and global levels. We are developing hybrid models melding social entrepreneurship, indigenous governance & economy, cooperative and non-profit models. We are collectively creating systems that are interdependent, equitable, resilient, and working towards thriving.
We are a collective of individuals and organizations dedicated to transforming paradigms through advocacy, edutainment, healing and the creative arts. We are also a fiscally sponsored project of Empowerment Works, Inc. (501c-3, California). Our cooperative members include but are not limited to: Mpambo Afrikan Multiversity, Women’s Rights Initiative, Nilotika Cultural Ensemble, Latif Fashion Academy, Wan Keken Collective, and Alloy Talent Academy. We also support independent artists and creatives, such as dancer and activist Vizara Danielz (Raven), Taiko master David Gonzalez and fashion designer Latif Madoi.
